Autumn of the Apocalypse

Autumn of the Apocalypse

Twilight betrays as intense colors unfold,
Deep shades of indigo, crimson and gold.
Listen, the wind whispers of coming cold…
Wallowing in this eerie autumn of the old.

A distant storm brews, dark clouds portend
As ghosts and demons of the past descend.
Their words foretell, the final script is penned…
Warning us that everything is supposed to end.

Fierce lightning flashes rage across the sky;
Fear runs deep, as apocalypse draws nigh.
Evil spirits clash with terrifying battle cry…
Chilling screams fill the night: flee or die!

Dawn succumbs to a dense blanket of despair;
The smell of death is omnipresent, everywhere.
Grisly remnants reveal no mortals left to spare…
All trace of humanity has vanished into thin air.
